The park is naturally divided into several different areas including the main entrance area with the enclosed shelter, the lower flats on the west shore of the river, picnic and recreation areas along Covered Bridge Rd, wooded uplands on the south side of Covered Bridge Rd, and the extensive natural areas east of the river which include the disc golf course.
