Beginning Calligraphy

Class Series - 4 Sessions

Mondays, October 16, 23, 30, November 6, 1:00pm-3:00pm

Take the next step on your calligraphy journey. In this beginning calligraphy class, you can learn how to write with calligraphy and create beautiful hand lettering, including understanding what tools and exercises you’ll need to improve. You’ll learn how to use calligraphy pens and basic strokes to practice making calligraphy hands. Whether you’re looking for calligraphy classes for beginners or experienced with lettering, you can take your skills to the next level with this class, and you’ll get hands-on experience by completing and sharing your own calligraphy projects.

• Materials Needed: All materials provided.
• Class Fee: $133 ($120 for LowellArts Members). Fee includes materials.

Jennifer Helner is realist watercolor painter of flowers, landscapes, and creative lettering, as well as the owner of Scripted Expressions Studio located in Lowell, Michigan. She achieved her BFA in painting from Wayne State University in 1991. After graduating, Jennifer learned the craft of custom framing under a master framer, and continues to create and educate in the arts.
