Jazz musicians Edye Evans Hyde and Mike Hyde have been married and making music together for over 40 years. Performing has taken them from Michigan to California, Asia, and Europe, opening for and playing with such notables as Ray Charles and Arturo Sandaval, Jennifer Holiday, and Clay Aiken. Edye and Mike both formerly taught classes at Hope College in Jazz and Contemporary Music. Edye is also the founder and executive director of local theatre company Ebony Road Players. You can hear Edye and Mike on her most current album Magic In His Eyes, and live at various venues in Grand Rapids and on the lakeshore.
