Explore nature by creating an insect collage with foil paper and oil pastels. Texture and light are the shining stars of mixed media combo of metallic paper and oil pastel. In the spirit of Jiyuu, this oil and foil technique presents a new, expressive way to experiment with texture, color, and light.

Jennifer Helner is realist watercolor painter of flowers, landscapes, and creative lettering, as well as the owner of Scripted Expressions Studio located in Lowell, Michigan. She achieved her BFA in painting from Wayne State University in 1991. After graduating, Jennifer learned the craft of custom framing under a master framer, and continues to create and educate in the arts.
