Painted Gourd Birdhouse

Create your own unique gourd birdhouse with a prepared hard shell gourd and acrylic paints! Materials and guidance in painting a design of your choosing will be provided - templates and ideas will be offered for use, if desired. Your creation will need to be finished with a coat of spar varnish on your own after class and will be fully functional for outdoor use after that. This is a great 'big person/little person' class for parents and grandparents with children. 

***Class fee is set per birdhouse, so an adult and child can create one birdhouse together or pay the class cost for multiple people so each person can make their own.

Lisa Boerema is an artist with degrees in Graphic Design and Art Education. She has worked and taught classes in pastels, watercolor, clay, and hard shell gourd art. Aside from creating art, Lisa is very excited about seeing the success and self-confidence a student has when learning a new technique.
