Lynn Dinning was born in Michigan, U.S.A. Educated at Michigan State University and Wayne State University, she earned a B.F.A., and later studied at Penland School of Crafts, the American School for Neon, Pittsburgh Glass Center, the New York Experimental Glass Workshop (now Urbanglass), the Studio of the Corning Museum of Glass, North Central Michigan College, Cross Village Rug Works, and the Studio at Ed Hoy's International. Her work demonstrates and promotes "S.T.E.M. in the Arts" (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math). Lynn's work is a reflection of the lifestyle she has carved out for herself on a hillside in the northern woodlands. Her work has appeared in juried shows, selected group and solo exhibitions and resides in collections, including the White House, throughout the United States and abroad. When Lynn isn't blowing glass, doing juried shows, or teaching glass at North Central Michigan College, she is a ski instructor and has been named one of the 100 Top Instructors by SKI MAGAZINE.
