Heerspink

Eric is a potter living and working from his home studio in Jenison MI. He received a BFA from Calvin College is 2008 and an MFA in ceramics from SIUE in 2015. His work utilizes a combination of techniques: wheel throwing, hand building and slip casting. Plaster molds are made from positives that are thrown and altered. The decoration is done using terra sigillata and vinyl resist. Underglaze, wash, and glaze is used to create unique surfaces.
