My creations called Bellaboxes are hand built using three substrates; wood, foam core and 6ply board. Layers of each are bonded together using acid free adhesive to form a sturdy base. all boxes are weighted to insure stability. boxes are covered with silk backcloths and adorned with either original bead work, fossils, shells, florals, earth crystals and other appealing items. interior surfaces are covered with decorative papers and velvet and have multi layers for storage of cherished items. finishing touches include sturdy hinges and hand painted wooden feet. I began making boxes as a child and have been perfecting my techniques ever since. I began selling my creations in 1995 and have been accepted to many annual art fairs and galleries.
