Spoken For with Jamie Brackman and Amy Love

Amy Love and Jamie Brackman are two singer songwriters based in Grand Rapids with their group Spoken For. This duo’s writing style is bold, lyrical and heavy hearted. Jamie’s gravely deep voice balances well with Amy’s pure smokey vocals as they sing about love, pain, and the beauty of life.

Hawks and Owls

Fronted by award-winning musician Bruce Ling, Hawks and Owls string band performs a collection of Old-Time Traditional Fiddle tunes, old school Bluegrass, Country Blues, Irish, and original compositions using the fiddle, mandolin, guitar, banjo, and stand-up bass. The band includes Bruce Ling (mandolin, fiddle, banjo, vocals), Becca Ling (guitar, vocals), and Jesse Sayers–Stokes (standup bass, vocals).

Josh Rose and the Founding Fathers 

Joined by the exquisite stylings of vocalist/instrumentalist Kyle Rasche (Chain of Lakes), bassist/vocalist Mat Churchill (Kari Lynch Band, Mat Churchill Band), and percussionist Brian Morrill (Troll for Trout, Mid-Life Crisis), Josh Rose and the Founding Fathers offer music that resonates and melds with the listener long after the last note fades.

Weatherheads

The Weatherheads, husband and wife duo, Pete and Barb Weatherhead from Grand Rapids, with mandolinist Steve Hubbarth from Lowell, play a mix of country, rock, bluegrass, and folk. Their upbeat songs and lively tempos are the basis for this fun, entertaining group.

The Jukejoint Handmedowns 

The Jukejoint Handmedowns describe themselves as a 'Big Tent' American Roots group whose eclectic set list mixes old school country & western, 70's AM pop radio hits, jazz standards, rock and roll, and an extensive catalog of original material, and just about anything else that strikes their fancy.

Steam Powered Bluegrass

Steam Powered Bluegrass hails from around the Grand Rapids, MI area. The band was formed in 2010 by five journeymen bluegrass musicians. Musicians include Steve Albert (vocals & banjo), Luke Lenhart (vocals & bass), Al Pursley (vocals & guitar), Jim Strangways (vocals & mandolin), and Jerry Tobin (fiddle).

The Bruce Matthews Band

Lowell-based independent singer/songwriter Bruce Matthews writes and sings about what he knows best—the outdoors, family, brokenness, redemption, and journey. Musicians include: Bruce Matthews (acoustic guitar, vocals), Sheila DeGroot (vocals, keys), Tony Muka (mandolin, vocals), Esther Klompmaker (vocals).

Easy Idle String Band 

The Easy Idle Band is a group of musicians from west Michigan that have joined together to form a lively string band. They play bluegrass, country, folk and gospel music. TMusicians include Ron Bailey (guitar, vocals), Bethany Tanis (mandolin, vocals), Orville Harrington (dobro, vocals), Dave Knight (bass), and Dave Simmonds (guitar, vocals).

The Adams Family

Enjoy a nostalgic journey through the popular music era with The Adams Family. With a crowd-pleasing repertoire that includes everything from folk and Doo-wop through classic rock hits. The Adams Family mines the treasure trove of the 1950's-60's music with exceptionally tight vocal, guitar, and rhythm arrangements.
